No doubt, WordPress is the most popular and used content management platform from PHP. It's widely used by Over 60 million people all over world for websites and blogs. WordPress used to be mainly for blogging, but in the last few years it has become the main CMS for all types of websites, in all industries worldwide.
Pros:
- WordPress is free, just like all the CMSs on this list
- Very easy to install, usually one click install in most web hosting environments
- Great for blogging, as this is what it was designed for
- Great community, with thousands of plugins, themes and tutorials online
Cons:
- Can be slow, if not correctly configured and if it has a lot of content with no CDN

Drupal CMS
Drupal is most popular with PHP web developers, because it has a higher learning curve than the others on this list. Drupal is an open source content management platform powering millions of websites and applications worldwide. It’s built, used, and supported by an active and diverse community of people around the world. you can use Drupal to build everything from personal blogs to enterprise applications, which makes it the most powerful CMS on this list. Joomla!
One of my personal favorites is Joomla!. Joomla! is also a very popular PHP based CMS.
