Introducing The Omega Web Forums

Omega Web Forums

When I first started Omega Web, my original goal was to make the website strictly forums. I wanted to create a community similar to the ones found on Warrior Forum, Name Pros, and Sitepoint. After thinking it over, I decided that starting a website that was strictly forums would be too difficult, considering the amount of competition in my niche. So instead of installing forums software, I installed WordPress and started a blog, thus forming Omega Web.

Now that I am ranking decently in Google, have a small following, and know more about what I’m doing, I have launched the Omega Web Forums. We will be talking about website development, blogging, Internet marketing, domain names, and much more! Come on over to forums.omegaweb.com to check it out.

About our name and tag-line:

Omega is the 24th letter in the Greek alphabet and in the Greek numerical system has a value of 800. The majuscule’s Omega (Ω) looks somewhat like the English character O and the minuscule Omega (ω) looks like the English character W. Put together, they look like OW, or Omega Web.

Our tag-line “It’s All Geek To Me” is derived from the popular saying “It’s All Greek To Me,” meaning hard to understand. Many things that geeks do, such as web development and programming, are hard to understand to an outside observer that is unfamiliar with the language.
